{ Jacinta + Chris } 5th of April 2014

I met Jacinta back in 2000. We were 10 years old (well I was still 9 actually) and we met on the school bus. We both started going to Ipswich Girls' Grammar that year and since we were the only two that age we became best little bus buddies. Throughout our 7 years at IGGS we remained friends but found different friendship groups and after school unfortunately drifted apart. Thanks to social media though we were both still connected and I got to see how her life unfolded in the years after school. I saw that she welcomed beautiful twin boys into the world a few years ago and then that she started a relationship with the brother of girl we went to school with and then eventually Jacinta contacted me. The relationship had turned into an engagement and Jacinta was set to marry the love of her life, Chris. Jacinta & Chris managed to plan a beautiful wedding in just over 3 months!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I got to her ceremony location. It was a beautiful backyard wedding and the attention to detail was incredible. A stunning wedding arbour had been made in that time and decorated with gorgeous silk flowers. A hessian aisle ran between chairs decorated with purple chiffon bows, tree stumps with little jars of flowers and hand-made crochet wedding bells. Off to the side there sat a bunch of straw hay bales with cloth draped over them and they were arranged around a bonfire set to be lit in the evening. The reception was to be held under a marquee roof lined with purple and white lanterns and guests were treated with an extensive candy buffet with all of the best kinds of sweet delights.

Jacinta wore a dress she designed and had made by Melina Holloway of 'Damsel in the Dress'. It was made with vintage silk and lace and it was a truly stunning gown. The bridesmaids were adorned in Jacinta's favourite colour of purple and each held a white and purple bouquet of fresh flowers in contrast to Jacinta's bouquet of entirely purple flowers. Jacinta also wore sandals she DIY decorated which perfectly suited her outdoor theme and her perfume was Vera Wang's 'Princess Night'.

I hope you enjoy this beautiful outdoor country wedding as much as I enjoyed photographing it.
